Affinity Camper Van - equipment and price
The Affinity Camper Van is certainly one of the extraordinary camper vans. Deviating from standard floor plans, the Affinity Camper offers a feeling of space like in a semi-integrated mobile home.
The company Affinity RV, based in Poland, only started producing mobile homes in January 2020 and has set itself the goal of perfecting the van motorhomes with innovative solutions. The company can draw on the experience and support of a strong partner, the Swedish company KABE AB.
The build quality is exceptionally good. This quality has allowed Affinity to mature into a very popular motorhome manufacturer in a short time.
The Affinity Van is available in different versions. Each version offers four seats and two beds. A third and even a fourth sleeping place can be added as an option.

What base vehicle is the Affinity Van built on?
The Affinity Van is optionally built on the Fiat Ducato or on the Peugeot Boxer. The Peugeot has a 2.2 liter diesel engine with 165 hp and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Fiat Ducato comes with a 2.2 liter diesel engine with 160 hp and a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Both models are equipped with automatic air conditioning, airbags, LED daytime running lights and 16-inch alloy wheels as standard.
In addition, the safety package is already included in both vehicles, which includes, among other things, an emergency brake assistant, lane departure warning system, rain and light sensors, and traffic sign recognition.
Affinity Van dimensions and weights
The Affinity Van has an exterior length of 636 cm. The outer width is 220 cm (without mirror). The height of the vehicle is given as 290 cm. Due to the height of the vehicle, the headroom in the interior is also higher than in many other camper vans. It is 196 cm.
The permissible total weight of the Affinity Van is 3,500 kg in series production. The mass in running order is specified by the manufacturer as 3,090 kg. This results in a payload of 410 kg in series production.

Exterior
The exterior view of the Affinity Van is very distinctive due to its structure above the driver's cab. All windows in the body are frame windows that are flush with the body. The extensions in the rear area, which contribute to the fact that more space is available in the interior, are striking.
On the driver's side is the access panel for the fresh water tank. The flap itself can be opened without a key, but the lid underneath the flap can be locked. The flap for the shore power connection is on the passenger side.
Unlike many other camper vans, access to the cassette toilet is in the rear behind the right rear door. There is also the outdoor shower.
Interior
If you open the sliding door on the passenger side to enter the motorhome, a 70 cm wide step is extended. This makes it easier to get in, because the floor of the vehicle is slightly higher than in conventional camper vans due to the double floor in the Affinity Van.
The sliding door is equipped with a pleated insect screen as standard. Optionally, the sliding door can also be fitted with a closing aid.
The dinette is located in the front area of the Affinity Van. It consists of a bench for two people and a table. The table can be dismantled for the journey and stowed safely in the side wall. The driver's seat and the front passenger's seat are rotatable and can thus be integrated into the living area.
In the three-bed and four-bed variants, the additional beds are hidden in the bench seat. These can be set up in just a few simple steps if required.
Behind the bench there is an L-shaped kitchen with a two-burner gas cooker and a stainless steel sink with a glass cover. Next to the sink is a large work surface. Underneath is a 90 liter Dometic compressor fridge including a no freezer compartment.
Opposite the kitchen are cupboards that provide ample storage space, a wardrobe for hanging clothes and a large shelf.
In the rear of the Affinity Van is a queen bed that features an electric lift. Next to the main bed is the bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. There is a cupboard above the toilet with enough space for all bathroom utensils.
A skylight with an electric fan is installed in the bathroom as standard, which ensures good ventilation.
The dimensions of the French bed are 192 x 129 cm thanks to the widening of the side panels. The dimensions of the extra beds are 182 x 67 cm for the lower bed and 192 x 67 cm for the upper bed.
There is a 100 liter waste water tank in the double floor and a 110 liter fresh water tank under the bed. Due to the internal and therefore heated tanks, the mobile home is also winterproof.

The storage space for camping accessories is hidden behind the rear doors of the Affinty Van. Even bicycles can be transported thanks to the electric fold-down bed.

Conclusion
The Affinity Van is a very high-quality motorhome, but is more suitable for only two people. Due to the high mass when ready to drive, which is further increased by optional additional equipment, it is difficult to use the mobile home with three or four people without an additional load.
Basically, the layout in the Affinity Van is very innovative and offers a lot of space. However, the main bed may be a bit too narrow for two people. The headroom due to the structure above the driver's cab is very positive. The entire floor is level from the driver's cab to the living area.
The Affinity Van is absolutely suitable for winter. The double floor and the excellent insulation make it possible. The entire water system, including the tank, is located in the heated area.
