Exterior
Karmann values good insulation. The Davis 620 features high quality sidewall and ceiling insulation. All Davis models are even winterproof according to the EN 1646-1 standard. This is possible thanks to the excellent insulation, the insulated tanks and thorough complete sealing.
The windows in the superstructure are equipped with practical quick-release levers and the frame windows are insulated.
The electric step ensures easy access to the body. As standard, the superstructure already has a roof hood measuring 400 x 400 mm and is equipped with a blackout blind and mosquito protection.
The cassette toilet access panel and shore power connection are located on the driver's side.
Interior
Living room / Dinette
One would expect no surprises in the floor plan. The division in the structure is classic. The dinette is opposite the large sliding door.
It consists of a bench seat for two people, a table with a swing-out extension and the rotating cab seats. These are integrated into the living room and offer up to four seats. There is a large roof storage compartment above the dinette.
Bathroom
Behind the dinette is the bathroom. The door is striking, in contrast to many other manufacturers, a solid door is installed here, no sliding door or the like.
The wet room isn't particularly large, but that's not to be expected in a camper van with twin beds. But it is useful.
A toilet, a sink, storage cupboards and a mirror are installed. The positive is that there is no need to use a curtain to take a shower. Unfortunately, there are still manufacturers who install shower curtains. All in all, the sanitary area is absolutely sufficient for this vehicle class.
Kitchen
Across from the bathroom is the kitchenette. It offers a kitchen worktop made of mineral material with an integrated sink. A two-flame gas cooker with a glass cover is also integrated into the worktop.
The kitchen block has three drawers and an overhead storage cupboard, which offer enough space for kitchen utensils.
The kitchen unit is adjoined by a tall cupboard that hides a 75 liter refrigerator. There is another storage cupboard under the fridge. In many panel van models, the refrigerator is at floor level. In the Davis 620, the fridge is at chest height for easy access.
Sleeping places
In the rear, the lengthwise single beds are connected. As already described, the beds can be folded up, which facilitates access to the compartments and flaps under the bed and also allows bulky goods to be loaded.
There are several overhead lockers around the sleeping area. On the driver's side and in the rear doors, windows with blackout and fly protection roller blinds are installed as standard.
Technology
The Karmann Davis 620 is heated as standard with a 4 kW diesel heater. The gas box holds 2 x 5 kg gas bottles. There are three 230 V sockets, two 12V sockets and three USB sockets in the structure.
