Südsee-Camp is located in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath in the state of Lower Saxony. The campsite is surrounded by forests and meadows. The 3.5 hectare lake with sandy beach makes this place a vacation paradise. Whether camping or in a rented caravan, chalet or vacation home - the Südsee-Camp in the Lüneburger Heide offers variety like only a few campsites in Germany.

Activities and excursions of the Südsee Camp
For children, teenagers and adults the Südsee-Camp offers a varied animation program on the campsite - so the vacation at the Südsee-Camp is a lot of fun for everyone!
Whether archery, fitness room, mini golf or a guided bike tour to get to know the country and its people, the South Seas Camp offers varied leisure activities.
In addition, Südsee-Camp Reisen offers day trips to animal and amusement parks, children's surprise excursions, city trips to Hamburg, day trips to German islands and active tours in the Lüneburg Heath. Winter day trips to Christmas markets are also offered in the summer. All excursions include round-trip transportation in a comfort coach with an experienced bus driver and the entrance tickets and fees.
In an adventurous way, between waterfalls, streams, rafts, snakes, crocodiles and monkeys, young and old golfers have to try to get out of the jungle in one piece. This miniature golf course promises an experience for the whole family. The individually designed courses made of artificial grass bear some resemblance to real golf greens, including sand bunkers, rocks and slopes.
The climbing garden is equipped with one of the safest rope systems - the Expoglider. Climbers are hooked in at the entrance and must go through the entire course to be "unhooked" again. During the whole time, the climber does not even have to unhook the system or re-hook. Thus, the facility is very child and especially beginner friendly.
Swimming lake of the South Lake Camp
The South Sea Camp offers a beautiful sandy beach. There are possibilities both to swim and to relax on the beach. For children there is a shallow children's swimming bay with a pirate ship and a large playground.
Gastronomy of the South Lake Camp
On the campsite there are numerous restaurants and bars that offer a varied and seasonal cuisine. Whether it's a sun terrace overlooking the lake, a bistro, a club room, an a la carte restaurant or a beach bar on the lake, there is something for everyone. Even events such as weddings, birthdays and corporate parties for up to 170 people are possible.
Start every day with a delicious breakfast. During seasonal times, the "boatswain" offers fresh rolls for breakfast. There is also a cozy bar called "Lieschens Stube" with breakfast, cakes and warm cuisine.

The deepest part of the South Lake Camp swimming lake measures 5 meters. The lake is about 3.5 hectares and its use is included for campers.
The campsite Südsee-Camp is run by the company Südsee-Camp Gottfried & Per Thiele OHG. Already in 1970 the Südsee-Camp was founded by the Thiele family and until today the camp is a family business.
The Sudsee-Camp has 1.508 campsites. Of these, 579 are permanent campsites and 726 sites are for vacationers. In addition, the South Lake Camp offers 183 rental accommodations. These are divided into 63 cottages, 51 chalets and 69 caravans.
